For starters my job is to test and write articles about caravan products and accessories, but to be honest most of the products I review are much the same- A caravan satellite dish is very similar to the next..

However when offered the chance to study, test and review a selection of caravan motor movers my eyes lit up as this topic had been the focus of many conversations with fellow caravanners who suffered especially with maneuvering their pride and joy on rough terrain at the Peterbought Caravan Show or just in tight spaces.

As an enthusiast myself I have considered buying a caravan motor mover for some time and had checked out many different makes and models. I knew i wanted a motorised mover as the effort involved in moving by hand is to much for my back and knees these days!

Of all the caravan movers on the market today, nothing grabbed my attention more so than the Camper Trolley by Mover Technology of Denmark. This small, well engineered, self contained unit has the power to move anything up to 1500 kg at about 9 metres per minute which i found very easy to control.



Its revolutionary design provides an innovative solution to the limitations of the caravan movers presently on the market. To move your caravan there is no need to fix it to the van as it requires no fitting at all, attach the bracket with NO DRILLING OR WIRING. This compact Motor Mover is driven into place and then attaches onto the caravan and then you position the caravan using the remote control. Just looking at the mover shows how robust and innovative the design is, the twin tracks ensure that the caravan mover doesn't become bogged down.

It is driven by two planetary geared DC motors - one on each side. The motors are powered by a compact on-board 14.4 volt lithium ION battery and drive via two rugged industrial quality rubber tracks which enable the Camper Trolley to shift your caravan with ease, smoothly with no jerking on all terrain and even up inclines!

With a fully charged battery the Camper Trolley will operate for up to 30 minutes and can be quickly re-charged with the fast charger. This product even features a innovative solar panel positioned permanently on the top of Camper Trolley with keeps the battery topped up.

To control the motor mover is simple and straight forward- Using the supplied hand-held wireless remote you can direct the little beast in which ever direction you want until your caravan is in the perfect position. And don't worry although its a wireless system the frequency is unique for each unit so you wont get interference from your neighbours using his Camper Trolley and ripping down your awning..

The best thing about this bit of kit is the portability-weighing in at approx 16kg it no problems putting it back in its sturdy travel bag when finished and storing in your car or caravan when not using it. It can be fitted to both 100×50 mm and 150x50mm box chassis without any welding or drilling for bolt holes and one quick-fit clamp system and you're off and running. (The clamp can be safely left as a permanent attachment) The Camper Trolley uses a flip-pin to attach and secure it to the clamp which again is very simple with no bolts to tighten etc.
