The club was formed in 1996 as a monthly meeting for enthusiasts of "old cars". By the end of 1998 the club had 44 members with a wide variety of interests and an impressive range of vehicles. In November 1998 the club held its first AGM at which a formal constitution was adopted. The object of the club are the preservation and use of, to further local interest in, to disseminate and encourage the transfer of information on matters connected with, vintage and classic vehicles. We also have members with other similar interests, including motor cycles, aircraft, stationary engines, commercial vehicles, etc. The constitution also includes a requirement to "promote exchange with other like-minded organisations within the area", which we have always actively tried to do. Bicester is a small country town in North Oxfordshire between Oxford and Buckingham. We consider our "area" (dictated basically by our members locations) to be approximately a 15 mile radius of Bicester - although members are welcome from anywhere!
